Cast & crew

Team

A small crew, deliberately. Everyone on this list has touched the script.

Core crew

Six people who have all read the script

Two of them wrote the documents that make this project exist. The other four joined because of what those documents said.

Builds the film's tinnitus motif and the layered siren beds that carry the war without ever showing it. Three of the film's turning points are sound events with no corresponding image change.

Join us

We crew up slowly and on purpose

The short shoots with eleven people on set. That number is a decision, not a budget constraint — the material does not survive a crowd. When we do bring someone in, it is usually because a specific scene demands a specific skill.

If you work in production design, costume, intimacy coordination, or in Ukrainian or Russian language support, we would like to hear from you regardless of whether we are currently hiring.

Casting for the short is closed. Feature casting will be announced here and on the Kickstarter updates first — we do not use paid casting platforms.
Not on this film. Given the subject matter, everyone on set is paid and contracted, and has the standing to stop a take.
English is the working language of the crew. Cantonese and German are both spoken within the team; the film itself is performed in Ukrainian with English subtitles.
